A veritable nest of vipers if those vipers were endlessly deceitful manipulating predatory criminally minded stark staring sober, vipers. The levels of sociopathy are high amongst those who sobered up and hung around to exercise their real addiction - power and control over the vulnerable.

"It's dancing with devils, more than wrestling with angels...”

And yet in the absence of anything else worth mentioning what's a bozo desperate to get off the booze to do?

AA Leeds may be insane but they are at least willing to try. Unlike the health service which is absent when it comes to addiction because addictions are difficult time consuming pains in the rear thus cost time & money and medics are not interested. It's not a fast buck. There are no quick fixes.  Unlike the private options, AA does not charge an arm and a leg. And beggars not being choosers... so.

But there is a price. Getting sober in AA Leeds will involve getting to be around some of the most unpleasant people you are ever likely to meet outside of the hammer house of horrors. Sober and cynical. Yes. Stupid sober. Yes. Stark and staring sober. Deffo. Coercive controlling sober. Seriously predatory. Oh yeh. But sober.

Unkind, yes, but also, too, too, terribly true. Do it. Yes. But... carefully. You will be preyed upon. You will have the piss taken. But you might just get sober. Or raped.
